We’re Home!
posted bystav
We got home yesterday afternoon. After 4 days the least I can say is that it is a whirlwind experience.
TK looked tired when she walked up to the back gate. Under under the circumstances she did well to spend a good 15 minutes re-acquainting herself with Bonnie and Clyde. The dogs have been and Matt and Kym’s since TK went to hospital so this was part of the entry plan to bring Wilson home.
I’m amazed at how patient and concerned the dogs are. Clyde has a frown on his face when Wilson cries and has a genuine look of concern as he hangs around the door to Wilson’s room.
Coming home was a relief but also a bit scary at the same time. All of a sudden we have this tiny little human being that requires all of our attention and without the help of the hospital staff. Luckily, we have a few midwives in the family and my auntie Jane offered to come down and help settle Wilson and TK in. It was much appreciated.
Since Sunday, Wilson’s swelling on his face, due to being a bit overcooked, has gone down and he is a lot more comfortable. It also means he has become a bit more photogenic.

Anyway, it’s starting to break down into a routine of eating, sleeping, shitting and repeating. Here’s a couple of pictures until I work out how to put this gallery together. Hopefully TK will be able to post up an entry tomorrow.

GG and Wilson, Day 1

Kenz and Bax with Wilson, Day 3
We’re tired though. TK is running on adreniline and 2 hour naps. But for some reason, it’s all good. I feel like I’ve done more work in the last 2 days than I do in a week at the office. TK is astounding. She is taking it all on with passion and dedication. I’m proud of her. She has taken this role in her stride. She is the star of all this.
We’ve got heaps of photos and other stuff to write too.
Here we go!

posted bystavTK missed out on Mothers day which is a shame. But luckily Dobbie already bought her an iron so next mothers day will be the matching blender I suppose……
No guessing or wondering, it’ll keep me entertained for hours down at the Chelsea Velodrome and best of all, it doesn’t come flat packed. Oh, did I mention that I need it to?
So if you’re wondering what to get me for fathers day then here it is.

It’s a KHS Flite 100, track/fixie…. great bang for buck TK.
Oz’s missus just bought him one…..

Taurus and Independence:
Taurus is not the one who ventures out into the unknown and leads the way, Taurus is the one that will follow the leader and strengthen and build upon the discovered, in other words they are the one that will “dot the I’s and cross the T’s”. This perseverance is given to them by their stubborn streak. Taurus stubborn streak is what gives their independence. They like to do things their way. They are perfectly fine on being alone, this way things get done they way they want them to be done. Taurus is not a follower, but they are not the brave one either. Taurus is perfectly independent. With their perseverance, they get things done and can do quite well for themselves.

Sharing the workload
posted bystavTK handed me a pamphlet the other week. “Preparing for Child birth for fathers” or something like that.
Here’s one for the guys. If you thought this was up to the girls, think again.

TROUBLE SHOOTING! WTF? If my power goes out, I change the fuse, If my car battery goes flat I call the RACV. But WTF? I’m not qualified for this. I’m not prepared for this.
Then there is this.

After survivng all the nesting activities, I though the hard work was done.
