TK and the captain
Spring! The weather is fining up and it’s that time of year to catch up. These pics were from a BBQ at Mum and Dads while my Aunty was over from New Zealand recently.

Slide show below will load shortly.
These pretzels are making me thirsty!
posted bystavWilson is developing and comprehending essential communication skills at a rapid rate. Which is just as well, because you can easily dehydrate in the warm weather we are having at the moment.
Thanks for the photo Gayle.

posted bystavTK’s sister, husband, Lex an Lil came out from the US back in August. during the vist we all piled intot he car and headed down to the Otways for a few days. It rained, and rained and rained. It was bloody cold, then it rained, and rained some more.
So we stayed at this fauna park, kangaroo, wombats and birds everywhere. The kangaroos were so freindly that you actually had to watch they didn’t come and sit in the loungeroom with you.
The tour talk in the rainforest canopy walk. I drew the short straw and had to lug Wilson in the back pack. It was going alright until the lunch stop and Wilson decided to grind a vegemite sandwich into the back of my neck.

posted bystavIt’s been a while. Sorry about that! The only excuse for not posting more often is because we’ve been so bloody busy.
My excuse? Yet another website to manage and maintain. This one was from a scratch start and has pretty much consumed the last 4 months.
TK has been working and still doing some personal training, which, considering her “delicate” state is no mean feat in itself.
Wilson has been developing which also keeps us from posting more regularly. We’ve also had the family over for the US.
As TK has eluded in the post below, Wilson fractured his leg recently as well. Not sure how it happened but it did. Didn’t stop him or slow him down though.
There’s a heap of photos and stories to tell but right now I have to tend to my farrow. Be right back!

posted bystavUnable to get away, Trudy applies a full headlock to Wilson. Unfortunately, there isn’t a next shot as Wilson bit Trudy on the ear and she rolled over on a soiled nappy that Wilson had prepared earlier. It all happened to quick for the camera…….

Lucky 13
posted bystavA big family weekend just passed. At one stage, Dad, made the incredible observation that there was 13 Kirks at the impromptu drinks thing at Mum and Dads last Friday night. I’m not sure how many fingers he used to count them up, but there was only 12 of us.
With the long weeknd in full swing, Andrew, Lisa and JB came down from Sydney to meet Wilson.
He’s been getting a bit of attention from OS relo’s as well with Cindy, Manu, Lex and Lil here from florida at the moment as well.
At last count, 5 cousins.
Some pics of what’s been going on.

Belated but appropriate. Manu arrived from France to meet Wilson and bought along a bottle to celebrate. Nice work. Thanks Manu.

Wilson at home first with Aunty Jane
We are blessed with access to our own family midwife. My aunt, Jane, has been a nurse for more than 40 years, a midwife for the most part of that and for the last 25 years or more, a maternal health nurse. Her help in settling Wilson and TK has been great.
On the day TK came and Wilson came home Jane travelled down the highway to assist.
