Six weeks later (mums update)

Learnt the skill of doing everything one handed, whilst holding Wilson in other, it’s good to rotate arms in case one bicep gets bigger than the other

Learnt that cold toast and coffee isn’t all that bad, even when your still trying to finish them by lunchtime

Learnt that in order to get showered by 4.30pm when daddy gets home means sometimes Wilson will need to be in rocker on floor in bathroom

Learnt that it is the norm these days to have done at least 3 loads of washing by lunch time (I was always a fan of washing anyway)

Learnt to only go to one place to do weekly shopping, (instead of three) get it done in half hr and get home before next feed

Learnt that breast pads were invented for a reason (you need 3 boxes a week)

Learnt that breast feeding is the most selfless act a mother can do, especially when your nipples bleed, swell and crack and one must PUSH ON through the pain, but remember ladies “Breast feeding should feel 100% comfortable” If i hear that one more time!!!!

Learnt that Wilson comes first, he screams louder than daddy and dogs

Learnt that the “simple thing simple life are often the best”, like how just getting out for a walk is a damn big achievement for the day

Learnt that I was kidding myself when I enrolled to do two courses by correspondence whilst twiddling fingers on maternity leave

Learnt that Wilson can fart and burp louder than most adults and likes to practice in the presence of others who often think it was mummy.

Learnt that being a mum is time consuming,  full on at times and rewarding alot of the time and I LOVE IT!!!!

Learnt that putting a post on this site may take days, even weeks!!!

Sorry about disappearing for a few weeks, but it was worth the wait and I’m back now.

The dogs are adjusting well to the new life with an extra person in the house. I think they are enjoying it except, with the time constraints, they dont get walked as much.

Clyde is funny - every time Wilson cries, he frowns.

Seeing the reward after a month

It’s just over 4 weeks since Wilson was born. It’s incredible how quickly children develop. The reward this week is the smiles - he’s just working it out. When he smiles, you get something back.

SONS OF THE WEST

Sons of the West
Red White and Blue
We come out snarling
Bulldogs through and through
Bulldogs bite and Bulldogs roar
We give our very best
But you can’t beat the boys of the Bulldogs breed
We’re the team of the mighty West

Now, all sing together as Wilson’s mighty Bulldogs take on TK’s Magpies this weekend.

404 error - file not found

WTF? Don’t make me ring the help desk!

The standard response code for a file that does not exist or has been moved is called a 404 error in HTML. Not everybody understands it and it doesn’t pop up as much as it used to but at least you know than when the message comes up, what you’re looking for just isn’t going to come up.

So what’s with the bloody screaming then? I’ve burped him, I’ve changed the nappy, I’ve checked the nappy again and nothing. He cant be hungry - he’s just been fed. So what’s the problem? There’s nothing there.

In this technological age, something missed the boat when they were handing out DOS operating systems. The new generation must have got lost back in the Y2K farce. “I’m typing the URL but nothing is coming back”. What happened to upgrading platforms when it comes to newborns.

The model I have doesn’t respond to hitting the reset button. There isn’t even an on / off switch. This model is completely wireless so I cant even take the plug out of the wall. Wireless broadband? nah - He doesnt even need a dodgy dial up to get his message across. The shriek through the darkness in the middle of the night crackles through the static of the baby monitor and cuts through the night like a Furi chefs knife.

CTRL/ALT/DEL - it works for everything else. Reboot? Maybe I should just bite the bullet and switch to MAC - nah - that would be like BBQing on a Weber.
